Aspiring writer and avid world traveller Oliver Flint was
born on July 12th 1997 in the city of Calgary Alberta, Canada. His love of
Travel sprouted in the 2nd grade when he took his first airplane
trip to the large eastern city of Toronto. It was the most exciting thing he
had ever done in his early life. As the years went on the trips got further and
further away until he reached his milestone trip. During the summer of Grade 8,
Oliver and 11 other friends visited Kanderstag, Switzerland and Paris, France
for a 2 week long international immersion trip. While in Europe, Oliver kept a
journal and discovered the writer within himself.
Early Years
Oliver was born on 7:13AM at Rockyview general hospital on
July 12th 1997. Oliver attended three different schools for
Elementary: Maple Ridge, Chaparral and Elboya secondary school. Oliver then
spent three years in secondary school at Elboya Secondary School under the guidance
of Principal Linda Davis. After completing grades 1-9, Oliver then chose to
attend one of Western Canada’s best academically centered High Schools, Western
Canada High School.
High School
Oliver just recently completed the 10th grade at
Western Canada High School. Next year will be his 11th year of schooling.
While in the 10th grade, Oliver completed a grade 12 journalism
course under the guidance of Mr. Eric Kerkhoven with an 88%. This provided the
motivation needed to pursue a career in writing. Oliver is also enrolled in
History at an IB level along with other courses such as French Second language and
English Language Arts. Oliver is currently placed on the roster for Western
Canada’s Senior Varsity football team at the position of Defensive Line for the
upcoming season.
Plans for
the Future
Oliver just recently finished his senior and final year of secondary schooling at Western Canada High School in Calgary Alberta Canada. Next year, Oliver has committed himself at Carleton University in Ottawa Canada for Pre-Law. Although a career is still far away in the mind of the young writer, he is certain of his love for travel, writing and helping people.
